A Georgia jury has indicted former President of the United States of America, Donald Trump, for his attempts to upturn the 2020 elections of the nation.
Trump was charged alongside 18 others on 41counts of felony misconduct and several other charges, on Monday 14th of August.
Lawyers Rudy Giuliani, Kenneth Chesebro, John Eastman, Jenna Ellis, Ray Smith, and other associates were named in the indictment, NBC News reports.
According to presented evidence by Fulton County District Attorney, Fani Willis, Trump and his allies had pressured Georgia officials to swing votes in the ex-president’s favour. This all happened during the Elections process.
Trump also faces federal charges brought by special counsel Jack Smith for allegedly conspiring to defraud the United States by attempting to overturn the results of the elections he lost to President Joe Biden.
