
The Junta that ousted Nigerian President Mohamed Bazoum and took over his government are speculated to have plans to terminate the life of the 1st citizen of the nation.
This decision they are planning to carry out, should the Economic Community of West African States make any slight attempt to involve military influence in a bid to bring back democracy in the country.
This dark plot of the Junta to murder the captured president was made known to a top United States diplomat and some Western officials confirmed it to the Associated Press.

The ECOWAS has hence called on the UN, partner countries, concerned governing institutions to support the collective plan to restore Democracy and order in Niger Republic.
Rising from a meeting of the ECOWAS Heads of States and Government in Abuja on Thursday, the President of ECOWAS, Omar Touray, said the bloc had directed the deployment of a “standby force” to restore democracy in Niger after the coup.
Although Omar gave no details about the plan, location and determined date of deployment for the military intervention force. He explained that financing had been discussed and “appropriate measures have been taken”.
ECOWAS said all efforts made to hold dialogues with the military junta have proved abortive by the coup leaders as the ECOWAS body condemns the detention of President Bazoum and his family. Hence this decision.
It also discussed the latest development in Niger since the last summit held on July 30, stating that all diplomatic efforts made by ECOWAS in resolving the crisis had been defiantly repelled by the military leadership, including the one-week ultimatum given for the restoration of constitutional order was also rudely ignored.
It further warned surrounding African states who by their action directly or indirectly are hindering the peaceful resolution of the crisis in Niger about the consequences for their action before the community.
The body ‘’further call on all partner countries and institutions including the United Nations to support ECOWAS, in its effort to ensure a quick restoration of constitutional order, in conformity with its normalcy within the Nation.
