The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday elected the former Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, as the party’s new national chairman.

He was elected at the party’s 12th National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting held at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel, Abuja.
The party elected the former Senate spokesman, Ajibola Bashiru, as national secretary.
The duo replaced the former Nasarawa governor, Abdullahi Adamu and Senator Iyiola Omisore as the party’s national chairman and secretary last month.
The former APC Vice Chairman, North-West, Salihu Lukman, resigned from the position last week over moves by the party leaders to appoint Ganduje as the party’s new chairman.
