A Chef based in Mombasa of Kenya by the name Maliha Mouhammed has surpassed Hilda Baci’s record for the World Guiness Record Holder.
Just after two months since the World Record Holder, Hilda Baci had been officially declared as the Guiness World Record Holder for the longest cooking hours after she heralded a Cook-a-thon of 93hours and 11minuites.
A chef in Kenya, who had cooked for 77hours in 2019, is set to beat the present world record holder (Hilder Baci) as she once again sets a new record by cooking non-stop for 95hours!
She posted her picture on a flyer with the caption boldly written; “NEW WORLD RECORD”
The new GWR holder went further to wrIte, ‘@seagasltd Yes, we did it!
New world record holder for the longest home kitchen cooking marathon in Shukran for the support, however as of the time this report was filed, chef Maliha new cooking record breaking is yet to be confirmed by World Guiness Record.
WHO IS MALIHA MOUHAMMED?
Maliha Mouhammed is a Kenyan Chef, Caterer, Head cooking instructor at Gourmet Academy 254 also in Kenya. She has been a cake and food judge for a couple of years and a culinary enthusiast.
Interestingly, Maliha was Guiness World Record breaker of longest cooking (77hours) in 2019. She was recognized by Guiness World Records by orchestrating a superb non-stop cooking marathon lasting an admirable 75 hours. The culinary maestro had taken over from Rickey Lumpkin, a United States of America, Los Angeles based chef, who cooked for 68hours, 30minutes, and 1 second in 2018 back then.
Once again, she etches her name in the sands of time as she clinches the Guinness WRH for longest cooking hours for the second time in 2023. This awesome feat took place on August 18, 2023 at the scenic Kenya bay beach resort in Mombasa.
The talented 36yrs old, yet-to-be officially proclaimed World Record Holder for longest cooking hours studied Food Science, Knife skills, Wine paring and Fundamentals of being a Chef at cooking culinary schools. Her high schooling was at Jaffery high school.
